STEP | ACTION | KEY INSTRUCTIONS |
BEFORE YOU START | ||
PREP | Check the Product | Inspect panels before installation and confirm the selected colour, pattern, finish and panel quantity. Plan the overall layout so the stone pattern reads naturally across the completed wall. |
PREP | Check the Substrate | Ensure the wall or substrate is structurally sound, clean, dry, stable and reasonably flat. Remove loose material, dust, grease or contaminants that could affect the installation. |
PREP | Plan Trims & Details | Confirm panel joints, decorative trims, internal corners, external corners, exposed edges, electrical outlets and other penetrations before cutting or fixing panels. |
INSTALLATION STEPS | ||
01 | Measure & Plan | Measure the wall carefully and establish the panel layout, orientation, joints, trims, corners and penetrations before cutting. Plan prominent feature walls from the main viewing point whenever possible. |
02 | Dry-Fit & Check Pattern | Position panels in sequence before final fixing to review the stone pattern, colour balance and joint locations. Adjust the layout where necessary for the best visual continuity. |
03 | Prepare the Surface | Repair significant unevenness and ensure the installation surface is clean, dry, stable and ready to receive the panel system. Existing walls may remain in place where they are suitable for installation. |
04 | Measure & Cut | Mark and cut panels accurately for wall dimensions, outlets, switches, doors, corners and other architectural details. Follow the current PDS installation guide and appropriate tool safety procedures. |
05 | Apply the Specified Fixing Method | Use the construction adhesive or fixing method specified for the project and substrate. Apply it in accordance with the current PDS installation instructions and the adhesive manufacturer's requirements. |
06 | Position & Level the First Panel | Place the first panel accurately, check that it is straight and plumb, and press it firmly into position. Correct alignment of the first panel is important for the panels that follow. |
07 | Engage the Locking System | Continue with the next panel using the seamless locking system. Maintain consistent alignment and use the selected decorative trims to create clean, controlled panel joints. |
08 | Finish Corners & Exposed Edges | Complete internal corners, external corners and exposed panel edges with the appropriate trims or project-specific finishing details. |
09 | Curved Wall Installation | For selected curved walls, kerf-bending can be used to adapt the panel to the required geometry. Curved applications should be planned and carried out by an experienced installer to suit the project radius and substrate. |
10 | Inspect, Clean & Allow to Cure | Check panel alignment, joints, trims and surface condition. Remove installation residue promptly, clean the surface gently and allow adhesives or sealants to cure fully before normal use. |
Simple cleaning and maintenance guidance for long-term presentation.
CARE TOPIC | GUIDANCE |
Prompt Cleaning | Wipe up spills and marks promptly using a clean, soft towel. Regular light cleaning helps maintain the appearance of the protective surface finish. |
Mild Soap First | For fresh stains, particularly within the first 30 minutes, start with a clean towel dampened with a mild 5% dish-soap solution or neutral soap. |
75% Alcohol | For more persistent marks, gently wipe the affected area with a towel dampened with 75% alcohol, using light pressure rather than aggressive scrubbing. |
Use Soft Materials | A white cotton cloth or soft brush is recommended for cleaning. Avoid abrasive tools that may affect the decorative surface. |
Everyday Stain Removal | Common marks such as sweat, soot, ink, chocolate, coffee and wine can generally be treated with mild dish soap or 75% alcohol as appropriate. |
Avoid Over-Cleaning | Do not over-clean or scrub excessively, as repeated aggressive cleaning may affect the surface finish. |
Natural Production Variation | Minor colour differences are within normal industry tolerances and are not considered product defects. Review physical samples and project batches before installation where colour matching is critical. |
